Ada Hall-Watson, affectionally known as “Sweet” passed away Friday, January 22, 2021. She was born to union of the late Walter and Minnie Stamps – Hall. She was one of ten children.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Long Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was educated in the Long Creek Educational School System. She was united in holy matrimony to Ed Watson. She was the biological mother of one son, Collins and she adopted a son (Donald) during her stay in Cleveland.

She relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. She initially worked as a Domestic Home Care Assistant. She retired from home care and began working at a factory. She relocated to Long Creek after living in Cleveland for over 35 years.

Ada was a giver from her heart! She gave to anyone who she believed needed. Her family was extremely special to her. When she knew that family was coming to visit or just stopping by, she began preparing care packages of whatever home-made canned vegetables, fresh or frozen. She sometimes threw in some smoked meat. You can rest assured that she fed family from Ohio, Georgia, Louisiana and Michigan and then some. They would be loaded down when they left.

Sweet was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings, husband, both sons and a grandson, Erwin. She leaves to mourn five grandchildren, Lorenzo, Terry, Alan and Anthony, granddaughter, Jeanette. Daughter Murl Simpson-Hall. Daughter-in-law, Bettye, 15 great grandchildren, 20 great, great grandchildren, 1 great, great, great grandchild and a very special niece, Patricia McMeans, A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
