The Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for Uncle E’s Barbecue on Nov. 12.
Owners Eric Perdue and Arlene Perdue started with $500 last year in August.
Mrs. Perdue always had an eye on the building.
“I always visualized us being in this building,” she said.
Ironically, she saw the owner’s sister in the grocery store and mentioned the building.
Through Facebook Messenger, they got in contact with the owners of the building, and the rest is history.
The goals for the restaurant are to “grow into something bigger.”
The restaurant offers ribs, baked and grilled chicken, pulled pork, chicken wings, chef salads and specialty salads, and much more.
Uncle E’s is located at 106 Whittaker Street and the hours of operation are Friday 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Special orders and large party orders are available.
For more information, visit their Facebook or give them a call at 334-210-5417.
