Santa to visit Luverne Public Library
The Jolly Ole Elf himself will make a special visit to Luverne next week.
Kathryn Tomlin, director of the Luverne Public Library, said that the library’s annual “Visit with Santa” is set for Dec. 3.
The event will be held at the LPL from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Tomlin said Santa will arrive at the public library via a fire truck to meet the children who participate.
“Parents are encouraged to take all the pictures they want,” she said.
Tomlin said that the library will also have Letters to Santa for children to pick-up, fill out and bring back to Santa.
Tomlin said that the event is free and sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Additionally, Tomlin said the Friends of the Library organization is sponsoring the library’s $100 Christmas cash give-away.
“Everyone is encouraged to come by often to enter,” she said. “All ages are eligble to enter once each time they visit the library. The winner will be drawn at 5 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 18, and you do not have to be present to win.”
