The Greenville Tigers baseball team will be putting on their first-ever “Perfect Pitch Cornhole Tournament” on Nov. 22 at 2 p.m.  at the Greenville Fairground, 260 American Legion Road, Greenville AL 36037.

The registration time for the event will take place from noon until 1:30 p.m. the same day. Entry fee is $25.

“We’re going to abide by ACA rules. The first to 21 will win. There’s no bust, no skunk,” Greenville baseball coach Chris Stinson said.

The event will sell concessions and have a 50/50 draw. Stinson said he’s nervous to get the tournament under way, but as long as it goes as planned, it should be here to stay.

“If it works the way that we want it to, then we plan to have this event every year moving forward,” Stinson said.  “We urge everyone to come out. We’re going to have good food on the grill, and high spirits. Next year we want to have a band. We expect to grow more and more over time.”

The event will take place on a Sunday this season, but Stinson hopes to move that up to Saturdays in the future.

“We didn’t want to mess with the football games this year,” Stinson said.

First place at the tournament will win a set of cornhole boards. All proceeds will help benefit the Greenville High School Baseball Team.
