The Greenville Lions Club held its annual fundraiser – Radio Day on Q94 on Thursday.

This year, the club teamed up with F&S Tires and Towing to raise money for eyesight conservation.

The rain did not stop this event from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The plates were hot and ready and located beside Johnson Furniture.

F&S Tires and Towing offered various amounts of food including, barbecue ribs and pulled pork plates for $10. The plates included baked beans and potato salad.

“We are F&S Tire and Towing and members of the Lions Club and last year we did the fundraiser for the club and all profit went to the Lions Club. We decided to do it again this year,” said Janet Mount and Buck Mount.

The Greenville Lions Club had reading ads airing on Q94 for local participating businesses. Radio listeners were able to answer trivia questions on air for a chance to win door prizes donated by local businesses.

The business owners went on to thank the community and club members, “We would like to thank Angie Mount for doing the cooking, and everybody that has helped prepare for the event.”
