Hooper shuts out Fort Dale on gridiron
The Fort Dale Eagles fell to the Hooper Colts 41-0 Friday night. The Colts dominated on the lines making it difficult for the Eagles to penetrate the defense or stop the offense.
Offensively, junior running back Sam Bloodworth again led in rushing with 14 carries for 29 yards. Quarterback Noah Pickens threw 6 for 16, notably connecting with Sterling Arnold (51 yards), Sam Bloodworth (39 yards), and Stephen Waggoner (38 yards).
Defensively, the backs divided up the lead in tackles with six each for DB Cole Guy, DB Noah Pickens, LB Caleb Rogers, and LB Sam Bloodworth.
The Eagles will face the Monroe Academy Volunteers in Monroeville Friday, Oct 9, and will celebrate Homecoming against Bessemer on October 16.
