Voters choose Odom for another term

Mayor Lester Odom has won re-election in the town of McKenzie with a 94 to 58 turnout, defeating opponent Tammy Bush on August 25, 2020.
Mayor Odom stated his goals for his term is to continue to “grow businesses in town and work for grants to improve the city life.”
He plans on completing previous projects including obtaining the grant to improve the lanes for Highway 55 and many roads.
The mayor thanked the city for the good percentage of voters; he mentioned how proud he was on everyone involved.
He thanked his opponent Bush for “showing interest” and asked her to keep running.
