Mrs. Mary Pearl Hamm, 93, a resident of Monticello, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. A graveside service for Mrs. Hamm will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8th, in Bethlehem Cemetery with Brother Stae Sanders officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mrs. Hamm was born in Montgomery County, Alabama, and would go on to graduate from Montgomery County High School. She was a long-term employee of the State of Alabama in Montgomery, and later retired from the Ampex Corporation in Opelika, Alabama. After moving to Tallahassee, Florida, she was a member of the Capital City Christian Church for several years before she moved to the Brynwood Health & Rehabilitation Center in Monticello, Florida. In her free time, she loved spending time nurturing her creative talents such as drawing, painting, and other arts & crafts. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Hamm was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Rex Hamm; daughter, Donna Rushton Hendrick; and parents, Jeff & Mamie Hall. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Lynn Anderson and Debbie Payne; five grandchildren, Robert Cowles Jr, Michael Cowles, Denise Ingoldsby, Angela Brewer, and Jay Payne; ten great-grandchildren; and brother, Wayne Hall.
