Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2020, at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Rutledge for George Wayne Mullins, 79, of Greenville, who passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, May 29. The Rev. Johnny Jones officiated.

Mr. Mullins was well known in Luverne by everyone. He was full of life and never met a stranger, bringing a smile to everyone he met. He worked with the Crenshaw County School System as a bus driver for more than 20 years. During this time, he had a significant impact on many children’s lives and treated them as if they were his own.

When he was not on the school bus route, Mr. Mullins spent his time as a poultry farmer working alongside his wife to provide for his family as well as many individuals that worked for him on the farm. He will be remembered by his loved ones as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will truly be missed by all.
