Mrs. Ola Mae Walton McGough, 96, a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home with her family on Sunday, January 5, 2020. Funeral services for Mrs. McGough were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Looney officiating. Interment followed in Cool Springs Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mrs. McGough spent her life taking care of everyone. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She not only raised her own children, but also helped take care of both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her babies more than anything else, and they all thrived under that love. She will be sorely missed by all of them.
Mrs. McGough was preceded in death by her husband, James Alexander McGough; son, Earnest Gerald McGough; and her parents, Raymond and Allene Pouncey Walton.
She is survived by her four children, Joyce Faulk, Allen McGough, Rolen McGough, and Jackie Hartin; six grandchildren, Kevin McGough, Wesley Hartin, Jeremy Hartin, Kristy McGough, John McGough, and Melissa Coggins; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Hartin, Kain Hartin, Ethan McGough, Landon McGough, Eli McGough, Reveille McGough, Amber Harris, Austin Harris, Ryan Harris, Madilyn Hartin, Ian Coggins, Sean Coggins, Ava McGough, and Caydon McGough.
