Dear Patients,
I am writing this letter is to inform you that I have decided to retire. My last day seeing patients in the clinic was Dec. 10. I have provided medical services to patients in the Greenville area for the past 10 years and I have enjoyed this time.
Regional Medical Center Clinic has a new physician, Dr. Richard Giovane, that will be available to provide you quality healthcare. If you make an appointment to see Dr. Giovane before my last date in the office, I will review your file with him. This task will be for your benefit. I want Dr. Giovane to be familiar with your records so he will be fully prepared to treat you. I have confidence in Dr. Giovane and hope you will consider allowing him to become your new doctor. We also have several nurse practitioners that you can make an appointment with them as well for your treatment. The phone number to make an appointment with any of these providers is the same number (334) 382-2681.
All clinic providers have the ability to review your medical record in our electronic medical records system, making it easy to transition your care to another provider. If, for whatever reason, you decide to be treated elsewhere, I will be happy to provide your new doctor with copies of the necessary records from your file. If that is your preference, please sign a medical records release with instructions on where to send your records.
I do want to thank the administration of Regional Medical Center of Central Alabama and its board of directors as well as all the staff of both the hospital and Regional Medical Clinic for making my time working here such a pleasant and rewarding experience. I will miss all of them very much.
I regret that I will not be able to continue to serve you. My years here have been filled with many rewarding experiences and memorable patients.
Best wishes for your health and happiness.
Sincerely yours,
Gary M. Richardson, MD
