A Celebration of Life Service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home for Patricia Pittman, 79, of Luverne, who passed away on Saturday, Dec. 21, in Luverne. Bro. Randy Sexton officiated. Visitation was held from 10:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday, Dec. 28, at the funeral home.

Patricia was born Sept. 3, 1940, in Savanna Ga., to Russell Bryan Howard and Hazel Hobbie Howard. She graduated from Greenville High School and from the University of West Florida. She married Irby “Pitt” Windham Pittman from Luverne, who was an agribusiness teacher and football coach for several years. They were married for 46 years and supported each other through many health challenges.

Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, classroom teacher and Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed her grandchildren for as long as she was able to. She loved attending church and to shop for pretty clothes and shoes. She adored her husband and served others daily. If you ever needed anything, she freely gave and never expected anything in return.
