Mrs. Kitty Parrish Rawlinson, 75, a resident of Highland Home, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. Funeral services for Mrs. Rawlinson were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, at New Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Leverette officiating. Interment followed in Forest Hills Memorial Cemetery in Snowdoun, Alabama with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mrs. Rawlinson was the kind of generous, loving soul who radiated kindness and exemplified the love of Christ to all those she met. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved her family more than anything else. She was also a well-known artist, and her paintings grace the walls of many homes in the surrounding community. The light and love she brought to all those in her life will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Rawlinson was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry C. Rawlinson Sr; his son and grandson, Jerry C. Rawlinson Jr and Danny Ray Stephenson Jr; her parents, Buford Mason and Edith Elizabeth Hendrix Parrish; and sister, Sherry Gail Thrasher. She is survived by her three children, Kirk (Angelia) Edwards, Kim (Travis) Jinright, and Wesley (Kim) Boyd; stepdaughter, Wanda (Danny) Stephenson; twelve grandchildren, Britney Edwards Ramer, Lacey (Justen) Campbell, Erika (Daniel) Scrushy, Toni Kay Edwards, Jessica (David) Sewell, Jacelyn Hope Jinright, Trey Jinright, Cortlyn Boyd, Isabella Boyd, Sophia Boyd, Melanie (Jeremy) Feith, Amy (Taylor) Jones, and Beth and Danette; a host of beloved great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Dorothy Thornell and Joe (Nelda) Parrish.
Active pallbearers were Trey Jinright, David Sewell, Daniel Scrushy, Justen Campbell, Jeremy Feith, Kenny Mason, and Todd Minor.
