Mrs. Teddy Leona “Lee” Coggins Bass, 72, a resident of Highland Home, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, August 2, 2019.
A memorial service for Mrs. Bass will be held at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, August 8, at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, 1184 Airport Road, Luverne, Alabama, with Rev. Steve Defee officiating.
Mrs. Bass was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and there was no one she would rather have spent her time with than her family. In her spare time, she also enjoyed cooking, fishing, sewing, and finding great bargains at yard sales. She will be sorely missed by all those she leaves behind.
Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her grandson, Duane Smart; parents, Willie Leon and Teddie Maxine Coggins; and brother, James Coggins. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Bobby Bass; four children, Scot (Rewa) Thrash, Sonya (Melvin) Riggs, Bobby Nell (Renee) Bass, and Joshua (Loren) Bass; eleven grandchildren, Teddy (Henry) Davis, Robert (Jennifer) Blackwell, Stephanie (Jeremy) Gray, Rose (Justin) Price, Ammie (Dallas) Peters, Suzie Smart, Vicky Bass, Kimberly Bass, Lexy Bass, Carrie Bass, and Lillian Bass; seventeen great-grandchildren, Emily, Katelyn, Catherine, Aliyah, Christian, Jaxon, Avery, Kade, Alex, Braxton, Alaina, Kaytlin, Breanna, Kylie Grace, Ben, Addilyn, and Mary Katherine; two great-great-grandchildren, Jordan and Connor; and three siblings, Malcolm Coggins, Hayward (Janet) Coggins, and LeeAnn Coggins.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 6 – 7 p.m.
