AERA Annual District 9 Meeting July 17

The Alabama Education Retirees Association will hold its Annual District 9 Meeting on July 17 at the Enterprise City Service Center. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:30 p.m.

This will be a very important meeting because health insurance changes will be implemented beginning  Jan. 1, 2020. Representatives from PEEHIP, United Healthcare, and Humana will be present to answer any questions from
members.

Forest Home Consolidated School Reunion July 20

The Forest Home Consolidated School Reunion will hold its 13th reunion on Saturday, July 20, at the Forest Home Baptist Church.

Gather in the sanctuary at 10 a.m. Bring memories and any photos you would like to share. Assembly brings 11 a.m. and lunch at noon. Please bring a covered dish.

Lewis Retirement Celebration July 20

A retirement celebration will be held at 6 p.m. on July 20 at Beeland Park in honor of Pastor Robert Lewis.

Welcome Baptist Homecoming/Revival July 21

Welcome Baptist Church, located at 3573 Welcome Church Rd. in Georgiana, will host Homecoming/Revival Services beginning at 11 a.m. on July 21.

The 11 a.m. worship service will feature special music by Patti Presley and guest speaker James “Red” Coleman of Crossover Ministries in Andalusia.

Lunch and fellowship will be held at noon.

At 1:30 p.m., a second worship service will feature music by Patti Presley and Bro. Coleman will share information about the work done through Crossover Ministries.

Benton Brothers to Perform at Ga-Ana Theatre July 21

His Way Ministry will host the Bluegrass Gospel Group, Benton Brothers, at the Ga-Ana Theatre in Georgiana on July 21. Admission is free and doors open at 2 p.m. The event ends at 5 p.m.

Gospel Meeting Scheduled July 21-24 at CLCOC

Hosted by County Line Church of Christ, a gospel meeting will be held July 21–24. Everything begins Sunday at 10 a.m. Monday through Wednesday services start at 7:30 p.m.

Forest Home Methodist Homecoming July 21

Forest Home Methodist Church will hold its annual Homecoming at 11 a.m. on July 21, with the Rev. Allen Stephenson bringing the message.

Lunch will follow the service at noon. Please bring a covered dish.

Purpose to Sing at Mt. Pleasant Baptist July 27

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church will host a Saturday Night Singing at 5 p.m. on July 27. The ministry trio known as Purpose will provide the message through song.

Caleb Bell, minister of music at Mt. Pleasant, invites everyone to come out and share in this time of message through song. 

Following the service, there will be a finger food fellowship.

No admission fee will be charged, however, a love offering will be collected.

First Assembly of God Yard Sale July 27

First Assembly of God in Greenville is hosting a yard sale on July 27 at two locations, Express Roofing and McBride Hilltop Chevron, both beginning at 7 a.m.

Fort Dale Pee Wee Football Meeting July 31

Fort Dale Academy will hold a Pee Wee Football meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30. All Pee Wee football parents and players in grades 4-6 need to attend this meeting.

Dozier Baptist Church Homecoming/Revival Aug. 4

Dozier Baptist Church’s Homecoming will be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 4. The speaker will be Jerry Hogwood.

Revival services will be held at 7 p.m. nightly Aug. 5-7. The speakers include Wesley Hatcher, Clay Crum and Zach  Hammett with special music each night.

LBWCC/Camellia City Classic Golf Tourney Sept. 11

Lurleen B. Wallace Community College Foundation presents the 14th annual LBWCC/Camellia City Classic Golf Tournament on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, at Cambrian Ridge, a Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, in Greenville. Driving range opens at 11 a.m. and tournament activity begins at 1 p.m. with a four-person scramble. Prizes are awarded for the top three teams, closest to the pin, longest drive, and hole-in-one. Deadline for sponsorships, teams, and individual entries is Tuesday, Sept. 3. All proceeds will benefit scholarships, dual enrollment, student activities, and special projects of LBWCC. Celebrate Recovery Meeting Every Tuesday

First Assembly of God in Greenville, located at 760 N. Conecuh St., hosts Celebrate Recovery every Tuesday. A meal is served at 6 p.m. Worship begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by group time at 7 p.m.
