Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday,
May 25, 2019, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church for Mrs. Bettie Jean Cartwright Reeves, 72, of Brantley, who passed away on Thursday, May 23. Burial followed in Pleasant Home Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Phillips officiated.

Mrs. Reeves was a beloved member of the Beat 12 Community near Brantley. She devoted much of her life to caring for others as an LPN. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Her parents, Drayford and Nettie Cartwright, and eight siblings, Cynthia Hartin, Linda Faye, Judy Cartwright, Oneal Cartwright, Donald Cartwright, Walter Cartwright, Terry Cartwright and Ricky Cartwright, preceded Mrs. Reeves in death.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Bobby Reeves; their five children, Teresa Walden, Sandra (Michael) Kolb, Michelle (Michael) Thebarge, Bobby (Christy) Reeves II and Shana Feltz; 12 grandchildren, Paul Walden, Corey Walden, Matthew Walden, Tara Walden, Gabrielle Kolb, Aaron Kolb, Maira Thebarge, Michael Thebarge, Sam Reeves, Tyler Reeves, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Feltz and Sarah Anne Feltz; 12 great grandchildren, and four siblings, Bessie Mosley, Frances Basom, Jerry (Cindy) Cartwright and Clarence (Corrine) Cartwright.

Active pallbearers were Paul Walden, Matthew Walden, Sam Reeves, Tyler Reeves, Barry Reeves and James Edwards.

Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directed.
