Job fair, employment presentation set for Greenville

A local power transformer manufacturing facility plans to offer an employment presentation for 50 new apprenticeship jobs immediately available in Greenville.
In April 2018, Hyundai Power Transformers USA announced an expansion of their Montgomery facility and the addition of at least 80 new jobs.
The two-hour employment presentation will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Wendell Mitchell Conference Center on the Lurleen B. Wallace Community College Greenville Campus, located at 750 Greenville Bypass. Attendees are asked to bring a resume to the session, which is being conducted with the support of the City of Greenville, Butler County Commission for Economic Development, LBWCC, Southeast Alabama Works and AIDT HPT.
Hyundai Power Transformers USA is a manufacturer of large power transformers, from 250-500kv, employing more than 300 team members in Montgomery. A subsidiary of Hyundai Electric, HPT was founded in 2010, and announced a $46 million expansion and the creation of 86 additional new jobs in April 2018. Construction of the expansion is currently under way.
