Butler County could see some severe weather Monday afternoon.

According to Butler County EMA Director Kris Ware, numerous scattered showers and storms are expected to develop across much of the region, along a southward moving frontal boundary today.

Conditions will be favorable for a few storms to strengthen to near severe limits, especially by this afternoon during peak heating. Much of the area has been outlined in a marginal risk of severe storms today, and the primary severe hazard will be damaging wind gust potential. Storms should diminish in coverage and intensity after sunset.
