A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Georgiana for Ronnie Mathews Sr. of Brantley, who passed away Monday, Feb. 11. Burial will be in Weedsville Cemetery. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13. His daughter, Dawn Marino, preceded Ronnie in death.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Mathews of Brantley; son, Ronnie Mathews Jr. of Birmingham; daughters, Michelle Kurch of Birmingham and Candice Picotte and Sara Mathews, both of  Kileen, Texas; sisters, Janie Sipper and Carol Bush, both of Georgiana; brother, Randy Mathews, Georgiana and 11 grandchildren.
