Greenville High School graduate Keondre Thomas recently received a $1,750 scholarship from the Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation and the Butler County Farmers Federation.

Thomas graduated from GHS in 2018, and since then has received more than $600,000 in scholarship money. He is a freshman at Auburn studying animal sciences, pre-veterinarian track.

He was recognized at the Alabama Farmer’s Federation Scholarship Reception at the Ham Wilson Livestock Arena in Auburn on Sept. 20.

Of the 79 students from Alabama who received a scholarship, Thomas was the only student from Butler County.
