Ms. Silvalane Shirley, 63, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018. 

A funeral service was held for Ms. Shirley at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, at the First Baptist Church of Luverne with Rev. Clay Crum officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Ms. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Lawrence and Voncille Johnson Shirley, and her brother, Kenny Lawrence Shirley. 

She is survived by her two sons, Jimmy Loran (Tina) Ballard and Jason Edward (Whitney) Barron; five grandchildren, Wyatt Gauge Ballard, Taylor Loran Ballard, Sydney Rhian Ballard, Landon Edward Barron, and Chandler Marie Barron; three sisters, Deborah (Dennis) Anderson, Amelia (Rick) Whiddon, and Francine (Robbie) Styron; special friend, Roger Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Active pallbearers were Patrick Layton Jr, Matthew Shirley, Daniel Brown, Ryan Brown, Taylor Ballard, and Gauge Ballard.
