Mrs. Jamie Shows Finlayson, 40, a resident of Rutledge, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018. A memorial service was held at 7 PM on Monday, October 1, at the Luverne Church of Christ. Jamie was a loving and compassionate daughter, wife, mother, and friend. She was a 1996 graduate of Luverne High School and later graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Theater.  She was a dedicated RN for many years and enjoyed freelance wedding planning with Julie Stewart Berrey and Paula Lambert. Jamie was a member of Oak Bowery Church of Christ. She touched the life of everyone who met her and she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.  Jamie was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Herman Shows, Casa Mae Cullip, Voncille Kelly, and Era Mae Kelley; nephew, James Austin Shows; aunt, Kerri Shows; mother-in-law, Anne Finlayson; and brother-in-law, Michael Finlayson. She is survived by her loving husband, David Finlayson; their son, James River Finlayson; mother and stepfather, Terrie Lyn & Richard Bagents; father, Michael Norris; two sisters, Alicia (Marty) Sexton and Amanda Bagents; two brothers, Eric Bagents and Ryan Bagents; grandparents, Anita Shows & Jerry Sanders and Ed & Sue Bagents; father-in-law, John Howard Finlayson; nieces, Quinn Sexton, Isabelle Bagents, and Miranda DaHart; nephews, Emmett Sexton, Jordyn Bagents, and Johnny Bagents; aunt, Deborah Shows (Danny) Rushing; uncle Richard (Lisa) Shows; cousins, Chase (Mickinzee) Rushing, Morgan (Dustin) Horne; and Kendyll (Seth) Olson; and sister-in-law, Wendy (Mark) Smith.
