Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018, at The House of God Church in Greenville for Estelle Peterson Womack, 84, of Greenville, who transitioned peacefully from this life on Saturday, July 14, at her home surrounded by her children. Elder Calvin Crenshaw Sr. will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, at Carter Rice & West Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time on Friday, July 20, at The House of God Church.

Mrs. Womack was a graduate of Alabama State University and a retired principal and educator with the Butler County School System. She was also owner of The Learning Bee.

Survivors include her children, John L. (Jean) Womack Jr. of Huntsville, Bradford O. Womack of Naples, Fla., Joanne (James) Tucker of Elyria, Ohio, Deirdre R. Womack of Greenville and Stacy E. Womack of McDonough, Ga.; 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
