Butler County officials have confirmed that a person has been jailed and charged with murder in connection to a death investigation in the county.

According to Greenville Police Chief Justin Lovvorn, the GPD is currently assisting the BCSO on a death investigation, which has been determined a homicide.

Butler County Sheriff Kenny Harden said that a press conference by the BCSO is expected after the victim’s body is positively identified.

No additional details on the case have been released.
