According to a statement from the Troy ALEA post:

“A one-vehicle crash at 11:35 p.m. Saturday, May 12, has claimed the life of an Eight Mile Alabama man. Whirlee Dunklin, was killed when his 2017 Dodge Charger traveled off of the roadway and struck several trees.  Dunklin was pronounced dead at the scene.  The crash occurred on County Road 42 near County Road 71 in Butler County. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
