Kendrick W. Kelly of Pensacola, Fla., died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at his residence. A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2018, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home and the visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Interment with military honors will be held in the Pensacola Memorial Gardens cemetery with Dr. James McGaughey officiating.
Mr. Kelly was born Aug. 9, 1928 to George Dewey Kelly and Nellie May Herring in Greenville, Ala. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. After serving in the military, he began working at Monsanto where he worked for almost 40 years as a chemical operator in the polymer area before he retired. He traveled extensively, seeing most of the states as well as parts of Canada. He was an avid reader and animal lover and gave back to the community by supporting numerous charities. He was preceeded in death by sisters Mildred Gunter (Merwyn), Edna Miller (Aubrey), Mary Tindal (Melvin) and by his brothers Ralph Kelly, Donald Kelly (Nancy), and J. D. Kelly (Grace). He is survived by his son William Kelly and sister Betty Perry (Ollie) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
