Someone has been calling Butler County residences and falsely claiming to represent Stabler Hospital, according to Greenville Police Department chief Justin Lovvorn.
“[The callers] say they need to update credit card info, since the city bought out the hospital,” Lovvorn said.
“This is a scam. Do not give any information to them if you are contacted.”
For those that have been contacted, or those who know someone who has, please contact the Greenville Police Department immediately at 382-7461.
