Gov. Ivey proclaims Stephens Miss Indian Alabama

Crenshaw County native Summer Stephens was named Miss Indian Alabama in November 2017 in a competition held at the Alabama Capitol building in Montgomery. Stephens is the first member of the Southeast Mvskoke Nation to be crowned Miss Indian Alabama. On Wednesday, Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey held an official proclamation for Stephens, with the chief of the Mvskoke tribe and his wife in attendance. Stephens is currently a freshman at Troy University.
