Elf on the Shelf to join stuffed toys for library sleepover

Earlier this year, local children’s favorite stuffed toys got up to all sorts of shenanigans while having a sleepover at the Greenville-Butler County Public Library.
This time around, the ever-popular Elf on the Shelf will be joining those cuddly toys for a holiday pajama party together, says library director Kevin Pearcey.
“We had such a great response to hosting the stuffed animals this summer, we decided to do it again for Christmas—only this time, the Elf on the Shelf will also join in,” Pearcey explains.
The library staff is asking all children to bring their favorite stuffed animals to the library on Monday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m.
“And that night, we will let them loose with the Elf of the Shelf and see what kind of fun they can have together overnight!”
Parents and children are invited to return on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. to pick up their fluffy friends—and to discover just what the library’s trusty camera has captured during the wee hours, Pearcey says.
“Because space is limited, preregistration is required. We ask that you register your child for this event by either calling our circulation desk at 382-3216 or emailing us at library@greenville-bcpl.org. We hope to see your kids and their favorite stuffed animals for some holiday fun next week!”
