Farie Mae (Payne) Beach was born May 10th, 1924 in Georgiana, Ala. She was

called home on Dec. 1st ,2017 to be with the Lord. Farie was the third child of nine

children: Willie Sr. (Annie), Edward (Bea), Johnnie Pearl Shepherd (Roy), Dorothy

Hastings (Walter), Zinvaleen Watkins, Duressa McGhee (Herman deceased), Willia

Dean Payne, and Delorise Maxwell (Clausell).

She was married to the late Lawyer James Beach for 65 years. This union was blessed

with five children: Barbara Williams (James), the late Isaac Beach (Brenda), Mary Gillis

(James), George Beach (Yvette), and Bernard Beach (Linda).

She had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren,

great-great- great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Farie was a devoted member of Indian Hill A.M.E Zion Church. She held great love for

her family and friends, affectionately exhibited through her love for baking and cooking.

She was greatly respected, resolute, and demonstrated great care and pride in her

family. She was thoughtful and profound; when she spoke, we listened. She will be

remembered dearly as a woman of character and a woman of her word.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at the Chapel

of Carter Rice & West Funeral Home, 10 Chalet Drive, Greenville, Ala. Viewing will be

held from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. prior to the service.
