Kerry Marvin Burkett, 47, a resident of Fort Deposit, Ala., died on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 at his home. A memorial service will be Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Reverend Eric Jackson officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Burkett is preceded in death by his mother, Myrtis Ann Hollingshead, and his brother, Jack Michael Burkett.

He is survived by his son, Koby Reynolds Burkett of Margate, Fla.; father, Jack Marvin Burkett of Fort Deposit; sister, April Burkett Reid (George) of Fort Deposit; nephew, Corey Michael Burkett of Hope Hull; niece, Josie Noelle Reid of Fort Deposit; great nephews, Chase Burkett of Hope Hull and Reid Adkison of Fort Deposit; lifelong friend, Robert Bowen of Fort Deposit, and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in his honor to a charity of one’s choosing.
