Robert Mahlon Smith peacefully passed away in a Florida hospital on Sept. 22, 2017. Mr. Smith was born on July 26, 1941 in Greenville, Ala. He is preceded in death by his mother, Robie Harper Smith, and his father, Robert Smith. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Flora Davenport Smith; his son, Robert M. Smith Jr.; and his daughter, Julie Smith Williamson. He is also survived by his sister, Charlotte Smith Andress.

Mr. Smith was also blessed with four beautiful grandchildren: Daven Rowell, Aden Hence, Callyn Jain, and Carter Lann Williamson.

A memorial service will be held at Ebenezer East Baptist Church in Greenville, Ala., on Sept. 24, 2017 at 3 p.m.
