Funeral services for Mrs. Clarine Atkins Gregory were held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

Interim Pastor Paul Mitchell and Rev. Robert O. White officiated. Burial followed in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services, Greenville, Alabama directed.

Mrs. Clarine Atkins Gregory was born Aug. 12, 1932. At an early age she joined Rock West Baptist Church in Forest Home, Alabama. Later she joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church she remained until her death.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Charlie Gregory Sr. This union was blessed with nine children. She was blessed with four additional children through marriage.

Mrs. Gregory was an active member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church until she became ill. As a result of her generous spirit and kind heart, she was loved by many and will be dearly missed. She quietly departed this life Wednesday, April 6, 2017 at Crowne Nursing Home in Greenville, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by husband, Mr. Charlie Gregory Sr.; son, William F. Gregory; two sisters, Oddie Smith and Josephine Rhode; and two brothers, Ollie and Freddie Atkins.

She leaves to cherish her memories Elizabeth A. Johnson, Linda C. Lewis, Charlie Jr. (Idella) Gregory, Edward E. Gregory, Bruce A. (Shirley) Gregory, Vickie T. Scott, Anthony L. Gregory, Russell L. (Katrina) Gregory, Barbara (Charlie) Crum, Ray Gregory, Prather (Henry) Catchings, Linda Simpson; five sisters, Mildred (Robert) Lewis, Annie N. Berry, Clarzell Thomas, Ruby Lee Crenshaw and Callie Smith; 26 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, including one devoted niece, Joyce Buskey; nephews, one brother–in-law, five sisters–in-law and other relatives and friends.
