Luther Sherrill Holder, 92, a resident of Montgomery, Ala., passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 in a Montgomery Hospital. Graveside services was held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 from Brushey Creek Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., directed arrangements. Mr. Holder was preceded in death by his wife, Harriett L. Holder. Survivors include sons, Don Holder, Fayetteville, Ga., and Richard Holder, Montgomery, Ala.; daughters, Ann Briggs of South Carolina and Jane Knott, Prattville, Ala. Mr. Holder also leaves behind eight grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
