Parker, Sulhoff announce engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Edwin Sulhoff of Gainesville, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Katy Sulhoff, to Bryan Douglas Parker, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Joseph Cassidy Jr. of Greenville, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Randall Parker of Luverne, Ala.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stanley A. Michael, as well as the late Mr. and Mrs. Roger A. Sulhoff.
Katy is a graduate of Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga., where she graduated with high honors with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication in 2007.
She is currently executive director of the Alabama Association of Conservation Districts, and she previously served as communications director of Lt. Governor Kay Ivey.
Katy was a member of HGH Senior Honor Society, Alpha Delta Pi, the Junior League of Montgomery, the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts Junior Executive Board, Hope Inspired Ministries Young Professionals Board and the Awakening Advisory Board.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Duncan, the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman Parker, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cassidy and the late Mary Charles Cassidy and Mrs. Maria Vanderhoeven and the late Dr. D.V. Vanderhoeven.
Bryan is a 2000 graduate of Greenville Academy and a 2005 graduate of the University of Auburn at Montgomery, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2005. In 2013, he obtained a master’s degree in economic and workforce development from the University of Southern Mississippi. Bryan was a member of Alpha Tau Omega.
Bryan serves as an economic development representative for Power South Energy in Destin, Fla.
The wedding will take place on May 6, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ala.
