A time to commemorate and to celebrate is coming on Monday, January 16. The Butler County Civic League is once again hosting its Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast at Dunbar Recreation Center. The event starts at 8 a.m. with a full southern-style breakfast, to be served by area volunteers, including the Greenville High School JROTC.

The keynote speaker of the event will be Minister L. Kirk Hatcher of Montgomery, Ala. 

The theme for the morning will be “The Struggle is Not Over, We Must Continue to Pursue Equality.”
