Fort Dale JV Boys took on Monroe Volunteers Tuesday night in Monroeville winning 40-24.

The Eagles and the Volunteers went at it from the start with the score going back and forth- holding each other’s feet to the fire as the score at the end of the first quarter was 15-8.

In the second quarter Nate Richardson hit a 3-pointer from the outside followed by Davis Gaston, Brice Acreman, Evan Clark and Dawson Wilcox tacking on a basket each, increasing the Eagles’ lead at the end of the second quarter to 26-14.

The Eagles held the Volunteers to only 10 points in the third and fourth quarters, finishing off the Volunteers 40-24 and improving the Eagle’s record to 7-4.

Top scorers for the night were Davis Gaston Jacob Foster with 10 points each and Brice Acreman with 9 points. The Eagles were at 33 percent at the free throw line for the game.
