Reeford Whittington, 71, a resident of Greenville, Ala., died on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017 in the chapel of Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Rogers officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing.  Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family received friends on Tuesday evening, January 3 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.

Mr. Whittington is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marie Whittington; sons, Joseph Whittington of Greenville, Ala., David Whittington (Karen) of Greenville, Ala.; grandchildren, Dustin Whittington and Jodie Whittington; great-grandchildren, Cameron Whittington and Camden Perez; sisters, Helen Knowles of Greenville, Ala., and Merle Vickery (Grant) of Greenville, Ala.; brother, Dale Whittington of Greenville, Ala., and many nieces and nephews.
