Margaret Virginia Riley

Margaret Virginia Riley, 95, of Ozark, Ala., died Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 at her home following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Rev. Jenni Hendrix-Rhodes officiating.  Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens.  The family will received friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.

Margaret was born Jan. 5, 1921, in River Falls, Ala.  She was the wife of a military husband and a homemaker.  She worked briefly at Ft. Rucker’s Test Board organization at Blackwell Airport in Ozark for a flight school and lastly at Woodlawn Memory Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Van S. Riley; and two sisters, Louise Sanders (John) of Dadeville, Ala, and Mary Claire Pope of Ozark.

Survivors include four children, Vandalyn Riley Folmar, Bill Riley (Roxie), Alison Brown (Wesley) and Beth Bryant Stokes (Steve), all of Ozark; seven grandchildren, Ashley Folmar of Dothan, Jennifer Folmar Sanders of Roeton Community, Sam D. “Trey” Folmar III of Clayton, Kim Brown of Panama City Beach, Fla., Chad Brown of Midland City, Chase Riley of Ozark and Cole Bryant of Enterprise; six great grandchildren, Noah and Lexi Sanders of Roeton Community, Sam Davis Folmar IV, Lucy Folmar and Victoria Folmar, all of Clayton, and Alex Bryant of Enterprise; one brother-in-law, Phil Pope of Ozark; and a special friend, Myrtice Lane of Ozark.

A special thanks to Dr. Sanders and Tammy with Community Hospice for all their excellent care as well as Penny Strickland whom we relied on greatly.
