Ha Thi Nguyen Jackson

Ha Thi Nguyen Jackson, 71, a resident of Saint Augustine, Florida, passed away on Sunday, November 13.  Funeral services for Mrs. Jackson were held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, in St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Troy, Alabama, with Father Den Irwin officiating.  Interment followed in Spears Cemetery in Glenwood, Alabama, with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.  Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Murray W. Jackson.  She is survived by her four children, Lien (Scott) Warren, Cuong Jackson, Yen (Kieth) Rodgers and David (Deanna) Jackson; and seven grandchildren, Kevin and Felicia Warren, Jackson, Alice and Rachel Rodgers and Leah and Kensly Jackson.

Brian Tennison Rouse, 33, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, November 17.  A memorial service for Mr. Rouse was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, in Rutledge Methodist Church with Rev. Dunford Cole officiating.  Mr. Rouse was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lamont and Florine Rouse, and his father-in-law, Edward Darr Cooper.  He is survived by his wife, Veco Cooper Rouse; two sons, Cainon Rouse and Leon Ross; parents, Richard and Angela Moore Rouse; two sisters, Hope (Chad) Lurie and Andrea Brown; grandparents, Stanley and Sue Moore; mother-in-law, Tanja Cooper; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Betty Strange Compton

Betty Strange Compton, 78, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away on Friday, November 18. Funeral services for Mrs. Compton were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 21, from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Yawn officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Ida Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Compton was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Compton; grandson, Francis Matthew Hebert; and her parents, Harold and Donna Ayers Strange. She is survived by four children, John (Susie) Compton, Bruce (Val) Compton, Gina (Keith) Chartier and Debra (Tom) Crowell; seven grandchildren, Callie Compton, Barrett Compton, Jamie Walden, Britani Manning, Nicholas Newton, Matalyne Chartier and Anna Chartier; and her brother, Harold Watson Strange, Jr.

Randall Eugene Defee

Randall Eugene Defee, 57, a resident of Rutledge, Alabama, died Sunday, November 20. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Defee officiating. Interment followed in the Rutledge Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Defee was preceded in death by his father, Billy Defee, and his grandparents, Nell and Grace Bass. He is survived by two children, Billy Eugene Defee and Randy Williams; his mother, Dany Bass Garner; two sisters, Pam Defee and Kim (Tom) Stroud; five brothers, Steve (Lisa) Defee, Keith (Dusty) Defee, Jordan Garner, Chad Garner and Shawn Garner; one niece; and three nephews. Active pallbearers were Todd Rayborn, Doug Rhodes, Jordan Garner, Jim Boothe, Thomas Kelley and Gary Defee. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, 609 Glenwood Road, Luverne, AL 36049.
