Matilda “Tillie” Gribben McQueen 95, a resident of Montgomery, Ala., for 47 years, died on Nov. 19, 2016.

A home going celebration was held Nov. 22, 2016 with viewing at 11 a.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home, 812 West Commerce Street, Greenville, AL  36037. Graveside services followed at noon in Magnolia cemetery with Rob Holloway officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 69 years, Harris L. McQueen.

She is survived by her children, H. Rhett McQueen and Sharon (Rob) Holloway; grandchildren, Autumn (Brandon) Harris, Jessica McQueen, Katie (Shea) Hall, Bethany Thigpen, Nathaniel Holloway, Samuel (Rachel) Holloway and eight great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, Nana and mother.

Serving as pallbearers were Aiden Garver, Jacob Poe, Nathanael Holloway, Samuel Holloway and Shea Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation.
