Lissa Mae Strazi departed this life Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, in Ocean Springs, Miss., from a sudden illness.
Her visitation and funeral service will be held at George County Funeral Home in Lucedale on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. Service will start at noon with Rev. Milton Strickland Jr. of Westhaven Baptist Church of Jackson, Miss., officiating. Burial will follow at Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Lucedale.
She was born Lissa Mae Lovelace, in Pascagoula, Miss., on Nov. 12, 1971. She was a graduate of the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. For many years, she provided compassionate nursing care to those in need. She laughed often and much, she appreciated the beauty in everyone, and had a rare quality to find the best in others. Her greatest joy was derived from being a mother.
She leaves behind her husband, Michael Strazi, and four children, Shanna (Cody) Baldwin, McKenzie, Ala., Hunter Smith, Georgiana, Ala., and Alexandra Crespo and Roman Strazi both of Ocean Springs, Miss. She is also survived by her mother, Debbie (Jerry) Smith, Savannah, Tenn.; her sister, Wendy (Kelly) Ray, Brandon, Miss.; and her brothers, Stephen (Angela) Miller, Biloxi, Miss., and Jason Lovelace, Lucedale, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her father, Woodie Lovelace; paternal grandparents, George Edward and Janice Lovelace; and maternal grandparents, Theodore “T.T.” Terris and Essie Mae Miller.
George County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
