College Fair to be held at LBW on Monday

SPECIAL TO THE JOURNAL:

LBW Community College and Crenshaw County Schools will host the a College Fair on Oct. 17, 10:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. at LBWCC Luverne Center, with students expected from Brantley, Crenshaw Christian, Highland Home, and Luverne High Schools.

The event is free and open to the public, with more than 25 colleges and universities as well as military branches expected to participate.

The College Fair allows face-to-face interaction with admission representatives from a variety of postsecondary institutions. Attendees can discuss course offerings, admission and financial aid requirements, college life in general, and other information pertinent to the college selection process. Handouts, catalogs, and other helpful information from the participating colleges will also be available.

Expected to be represented are Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Alabama A&M University, Alabama Air National Guard, Alabama State University, Andrew College, Auburn University, Auburn University at Montgomery, Huntingdon College, Jacksonville State University, Judson College, Lurleen B. Wallace Community College, Marion Military Institute, Miles College, Oakwood University, Stillman College, University of Alabama, University of Alabama at Birmingham, University of Alabama in Huntsville, University of West Alabama, Troy University, University of North Alabama, University of South Alabama, and Wallace Community College-Dothan.
