Freddie Harold Stokes, 81, a resident of Ft Deposit, Ala., passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016. A celebration of life service was held at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 from Springhill Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Wolfe officiating. Burial followed in church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., directed arrangements. Survivors include wife, Frances Stokes, Ft. Deposit, Ala.; sons, Allen Stokes, Oxford, Ala., and David Stokes, Ft Deposit, Ala.; brothers, Hansel Stokes, Ft Deposit, Ala., and Joel Stokes, Montgomery, Ala.; grandchildren, Kristen Stokes, Oxford, Ala., and Chris Stokes, Maryland.
