Senior specialist Junior Wright returned a kickoff 74 yards for a touchdown.

Senior quarterback Cole Roper had 13 carries for 41 yards and two touchdown runs. Roper also completed six passes for 84 yards.

Despite combining for 400 yards of total offense on Friday night, the Cougars faced the same downfall as they have in their previous three games.

In every game Crenshaw has played this year, they’ve turned the ball over more than their opponents.

The trend rang true Friday when the Cougars managed to commit five turnovers in the first three quarters of their game against the Rebels.

“We lost the turnover battle just like we have every week before. We are not playing sound fundamental football, and we have to get there in order to win our next few ball games,” said CCA Head Coach Mike Sims of his team’s performance.

The 1-3 Cougars will travel to Sparta Academy in Evergreen, Ala. Friday night.
