James Hollis Moody

Mr. James Hollis Moody, 30, a resident of Greenville, Ala., died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016.  Funeral services will be Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Herbert Brown officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing.  Burial will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery at Honoraville.  The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, Aug. 6, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.  Memorials may be given to the Abigail Grace Moody College Fund c/o Jim and Brenda Moody P.O. Box 573, Greenville, AL 36037 or flowers will be received.

Mr. Moody is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Graham and Betty Morgan, and paternal grandmother, Rosalie Moody.  Survivors include his daughter, Abigail Grace Moody of Sarasota, Fla.; parents, Jim and Brenda Moody; sister and brother-in-law, Valerie Moody Perdue and Steve; niece, Morgan Elizabeth Perdue, all of Greenville; paternal grandfather, James Durwood Moody Sr. of Clanton; aunts, Susan Morgan Crabtree (Vince) of Gulf Shores and Daphne Morgan Anthony (Johnny) of Greenville; uncles, Bryan Keith Morgan (Ellen) of Montgomery and Carl Russell Moody (Diane) of Clanton, and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Moody was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, a member of Southside Baptist Church, a former member of Sarasota County, Fla. Fire Department and a graduate of Fort Dale Academy.
