Funeral services for the late Mrs. Gloria Golson Jones were held on Tuesday, July 5 at 11 a.m. Antioch East Baptist Church. Rev. Ronnie Boulware officiated. Burial followed in Sunrise Cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville, Ala., directed.

Gloria Golson Jones was born to Jake and Claudie Bell Golson in Honorville, Ala., on Dec. 14, 1946.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James E. Jones, after 22 years of marriage; both parents, one sister, Glenda Taylor, and one brother, William Golson.

She departed this life on June 29 at her home surrounded by family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories four children, Ann Taylor (Robert), Jerome Lewis (Inett), Stacy Lewis (Donald) and Portia Jones; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanette

Crenshaw and Helen (Herman) Singleton; three brothers, Mack (Martha) Golson, Bonnett (Unice) Golson and Benny (Mary) Golson; aunt, Mary Johnson; a special friend, Donald McCorvey, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
