The Rotary Club of Greenville recognized David Norrell as a Paul Harris Fellow at its meeting Thursday at Beeland Park.

A Paul Harris Fellow is an individual who meets high professional and personal standards set forth by Paul Harris, founder of Rotary.

Norrell was given the honor by the club for his service as president the previous club year.

Many notable figures have been named as Paul Harris Fellows, including U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Russian President Boris Yeltsin and U.S. astronaut James Lovell.
