UA alumni chapter awards scholarships

The Butler County University of Alabama Alumni Chapter awarded five scholarships to area students that will enter UA this fall.

The scholarships were presented May 12 to Fort Dale Academy seniors Hannah Miller, Jessica Little, Trip Deshields, and Kendall Lambert and Greenville High School senior Mary Margaret LeCoq.

LeCoq recently signed a scholarship to join the Million Dollar Band at Alabama.

This year, the alumni chapter awarded $5,000 in scholarship funds from the Louis Clyde “Pat” Whetstone, Jr. Endowed Scholarship and the Butler County Chapter Endowed Scholarship.
