McKenzie School’s Kid Fest will be held May 21.

The festival, which will help raise funds for playground upgrades, will feature a car show, as well as a Touch a Truck event.

The Touch a Truck event will give children the chance to explore an ambulance, fire engine, patrol car, helicopter and others.

There will also be a car show as part of the event. The entry fee is $20 and prizes will be awarded for Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice.

There will also be bouncy houses for children, face painting, a bake sale and an auction.

Melissa Scott, a member of the McKenzie School PTA playground committee, said organizers are aiming to create an event for the entire family.

“We have done a color run in the past and elected to change this year to reach out to a more diverse age group,” she said.

All the proceeds from the event will assist in the purchase of new playground equipment, as well as upgrades to the playground’s existing equipment.

Admission to the event is $3.
